During the years 2009 and 2010, in Jamaica,songwriter Vybz Kartel , real name Adidja Palmer, founded the Portmore Empire also known as Gaza.

Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire discovered and launch to stardom some of the most young, talented and creative Deejays and lyricists, recording artists and producers in Jamaica, They all were able to express their potential and release songs with a different type of sound, unique in the world, the sounds of the Portmore Empire, which  gave worldwide exposure to little kids from the ghetto destined to become the future leading generation in Dancehall Music.
