Justice Lennox Campbell today axed a potential juror at the trial of Vybz Kartel for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.  As the woman was about to be sworn, Campbell declared that he would not have her serve on the panel to hear the case against Adidja Vybz Kartel Palmer and his five co-accused.

“From where I sit, I see a lot of things,” Campbell said when asked for a reason by Kartel’s Lawyer Tom Tavares-Finson.

Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Azim Palmer, is charged jointly with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell, popularly known as Shawn Siva Storm, fashion designer Calvin Haye, André St John, Shane Williams and Kahira Jones. Haye‘s bail was extended while the other accused were remanded.

The prosecution is alleging that ‘Lizard’ Williams died after he was severely beaten at the deejay home in Havendale, St Andrew, on August 16, 2011. Williams’ body has not been found but the prosecution is insisting  that it has witnesses and video and audio recordings to prove its case against the men.

Such evidence was never shown tho so far.
