The gun sentencing of Grammy award-winning reggae artist Buju Banton has been postponed in the Sam M Gibbons federal court in Tampa Florida, today.
The sentencing hearing was put off on the request of Buju’s lawyer Chokwe Lumumba, who applied for an investigation into allegations of misconduct on the part of a juror, after it appeared in a interview that one of the jurors involved in the case allegedly committed a breach by researching legal information on the Internet.

A new date has not been set for the sentencing, which is a result of an appeals court imposing the gun conviction that was thrown out by Judge Jim Moody, last year in relation to Buju’s drug conviction.
