Demarco real name is Collin Edwards. Born in Portmore, Jamaica in 1982. He’s an incredible talented Reggae & Dancehall artist, 360 degrees!
Demarco has made significant contributions to the dancehall and reggae genres with his catchy tunes, versatile style, and a charismatic stage presence.
He showed an interest in music from a young age, which eventually led him to pursue a career in the industry.
He has is own long list of hits, passing from songs like “Fallen Soldiers” a touchy tribute song to passed friends, “Real Recognize Real, “Better Jamaica”,”True Friend” and “Show It (So Sexy)” a song that generated many cool remixes, as the one Ft Craig of Voicemail, and its rap/r’n’b version in the remix with Sheek Louch, J.Reu, Craig & 2 Pistols.
Among his latest hits songs like “Hope” with Collie Buddz ,”Can I” with Etana, and “Push it” with Cecile.
Demarco’s entry into the music scene was as a producer. He initially worked behind the scenes, producing tracks for other artists. This experience provided him with valuable insights into the music production process. Demarco’s talent as an artist became evident when he transitioned from producing to performing.
He gained attention with his distinctive voice, lyrical creativity, and ability to blend various genres within the dancehall and reggae spectrum. His songs often showcase his ability to address diverse topics and connect directly with his audience.
Recording artist Demarco has always been very active also on the International front and I’m sure everybody remember his Rhianna’s lucky remix of “Rude Boy”.
Maybe not all of his fans know that Demarco doesn’t just deejays and writes songs, he also produces music and good riddims, like “Top Speed Riddim” , on which he recorded a song with Alliance leader Bounty Killer and the Big League Riddim, where he recorded a song with Elephant Man “Broomie”, just to mention a couple, and recorded various songs with another prominent Jamaican reggae dancehall artist: Busy Signal.
Mr Demarco is not just your average deejay and a singer, he also a very respected beat maker & producer. Outside of his music career, Demarco is involved in philanthropic activities. He has participated in charity events and initiatives aimed at giving back to the community.
He has songs for the gals, but he has also songs for the soldiers and there are so many hip hop remixes of Fallen Soldiers from US hip hop artists spacing from Jim Jones to Joel Ortiz, a clear signal even the Big Apple is vibin with him.
One of his most popular riddim out there right now is “Stressed Out Riddim” which had many hit songs like;Â “Jump and Wine” by ‘Tony Matterhorn’, “Hammering” by ‘Singing Craig’,”Work Mi Ah Work” by ‘Mister G’ and Demarco ‘S own “She Can’t Wait”.
