Tifa, real name Latifa Brown, quickly rose to dancehall princess status following her hot music releases and her deejay skills that helped her made a name for herself in an industry that is very male centered, and where only the strongest and determined female artists will last for more than few seasons.
Jamaican recording artist Tifa is in a class of her own when it comes to deejaying skills, lyrics and vibrancy. Her lyrics are crispy and she is not afraid to engage in difficult or experimental projects and explore where few others dare exploring musically. Growing up she had to deal with bone disease. She was born with Blount’s disease (a growth disorder of the tibia that causes the lower leg to angle inwards), and she had to endure a total of three surgeries which were necessary to enable her to walk. She didn’t let that slow her down.
