Turn up your speakers! Busta Rhymes and Kartel re-united once again. Busta has a new song featuring incarcerated World Boss Vybz Kartel , titled “The Don and the Boss,” this is the first single from the rapper’s next album, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.
After a wait of eight years Busta Rhymes new upcoming album sports World Boss in the first single. This is not the first time for Busta and Kartel, their link goes way back! Back in 2010 they linked at Don Corleon Studio, recording music together in Kingston, click here to watch.

In 2013 they recorded “You Already Know” featuring also T-Pain, then Busta included Kartel also in the 2014 ‘Twerk It Remix’ that featured also Ne-Yo, TI and Jeremih. Two years ago another collaboration, the popular single featuring also Tory Lanez, titled ‘Girlfriend’,click here for the music video, that was a huge success.
Rhymes has been very vocal in his defense of World Boss and he even attended Kartel’s trial in Jamaica.
Now going back to their new track, it has a boom beat with an heavy bass, synth loops and soft percussions that are the perfect frame for both artists to spit fire lyrics, with Kartel deejaying that he is a mystery, calling Nicky [Minaj] while Busta naming Megan [Thee Stallion] while he spits, “Don’t play with my money not a fraction/See dat will cause a wrong reaction/Shot fly ’til you hear it way down ah Boston.” Get the new single on iTunes or Amazon clicking on the banners below.
Busta Rhymes has yet to reveal a release date or full track list for Extinction Level Event 2, which he announced earlier this week with a trailer featuring Chris Rock. The album marks Busta’s first solo release since 2012’s Year of the Dragon ,while it will also serve as a follow-up of sorts to his 1998 LP, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front.
