Get ready for Reggae World Unity Concert! Going down at Grand Central Park 700 North Miami Avenue Sunday January 20th
The World Regge Unity concert scheduled for Sunday Jan 20 from 2 pm to 11 pm is already creating quite a stir in the magic city and surrounding areas.
One fan, after receiving the flyer and scanning the array of artists yelped out an hysterical “Oh My God, this can not be real all my favorite’s on one show?”, a common response from devotee of Reggae Dance Music.
Another enthusiast commented that he reminded her of the big Reggae shows of the 90’s, where you carefully select your outfit and spend mucho dollars on your hairstyle because, it’s not just a concert, it’s an Epic Event. So has been the excitement that surrounds the Reggae World Unity Concert.
The promoters assert that the title was selected because Reggae is the music chosen to unite the world.
Reggae legend Bob Marley, along with greats such as Jimmy Cliff, The Burning Spear, Yellow Man, Toots & The Maytals, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond, John Holt, Hugh Roy, Marcia Griffiths, Freddie McGregor, plus many others too numerous to mention, have rooted this music galaxy wide, sharing it with cultures on the four corners of this Earth.
The afore mentioned artists were instrumental in creating the foundation of Reggae Music, a music influenced by various music genres such as Country and Western, R&B, Folk and Mento.
Bunny Wailer once described Reggae music like a tree, the root being the foundation and dancehall and other lover rocks and other style the branches.
The Reggae World Unityconcert will not only highlight “la Creme de la Creme” for Reggae Dance, but will also display the foods associated with the culture, such as the world famous Jerk, Oxtail, Curried Goat, Escovitch Fish, Curry Shrimps, Rice and Peas, Cow Coud Soup, Manish Wata, and the list goes on.
The venue is the Grand Central Park, located at 700 North Miami Ave, site of the old Miami Arena and now a magnificent outdoor venue. Effective Entertainment is proud to present The Reggae World Unity concert.
