International reggae star Alborosie returns with “Freedom In Dub,” the dub version of his celebrated “Freedom & Fyah” album this Friday, August 11.
The self-proclaimed “Dub Mechanic,” Alborosie has demonstrated his production and remix skills on multiple projects including “Dub The System,” (counterpart to the 2013 release Sound The System) and “Dub Of Thrones” with King Jammy in 2015. With his sixth album for Greensleeves, the artist/ producer takes the listener to the roots of reggae music; drum and bass.
Having built his reputation with a decidedly analog approach for delivering authentic reggae sounds, all the tracks on “Freedom In Dub” were composed, played, produced and mixed by Alborosie from his Shengen studio in Kingston Jamaica.
Beyond his work in the studio, Alborosie is an expert stage performer with a growing reputation for top flight stage production. His recent New York concert debut at B.B. King Blues Club in June won the artist a host of new supporters.
Touring in Central and South America as well as a stint in Brazil with Ky-Mani Marley will round out the performer’s schedule through year end.

The distinctive production of these ten newly recorded dub mixes underscore Alborosie’s skill and credibility as a master of dub. All tracks are produced and (mostly) played by Alborosie and recorded at his Shengen studios in Kingston, Jamaica.
