Latest news on Jamaican star Vybz Kartel, currently incarcerated.

A new trial date has been set for the Dancehall star and his co-defendant in relation to the alleged murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

The case was called up in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston, Jamaica this morning, the Crown was ready to proceed, butKartel’s lead attorney Valerie Neita-Robertson, was busy in another murder trial of three policemen, so they had to set a new trial date for January 21.

Kartel has been remanded again.

On trial with the World Boss are also Gaza artist Shawn Campbell, more popularly known as Shawn Siva Storm, fashion designer Calvin Haye, Andre St John, and Kahira Jones.

Williams was allegedly killed at Kartel’s home in Havendale, St. Andrew, on August 16 last year.  Williams’ body has not been found.

The police stated that they have video and audio recordings linking Vybz Kartel and his co-defendants to the killing. The police also said they have eyewitness statements connecting the men to the murder.

Meanwhile a new Vybz Kartel’s banger has been hitting the streets hard and it’s quickly going viral. Jamaican music producer Rvssian released the pre-recorded “Weed Smokers” for his music label Head Concussion Records.
