Adidjahiem Records would like to announce that they are still the booking and management agents for Portmore Empire artists.
In a statement issued through his lawyer Michael Deans, Adidjahiem Records CEO Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer stated that
“Portmore Empire Artists Vanessa Bling (Gaza Slim), Sheba, Tommy Lee, and Shawn Storm are still booked and managed by Adidjahiem Records.As such, any bookings or commitments coming through any other channels will not be honored.”
[Jamaica recording artist Popcaan’s, whom career was launched by Vybz Kartel, name wasn’t mentioned].
Vybz Kartel’s latest statement about his musical legacy, the Gaza Portmore Empire that published music under Kartel’s own imprinting, Adidjaheim Records, has been fueling more and more the rumors circulating since Kartel’s arrest that Popcaan has already a new management.
Maybe to avoid that more Gaza artists will be booked in the future outside Kartel’s supervision and the fact that something actually happened with Popcaan, because his name was not mentioned, and it’s not because he was forgotten, Kartel had to release a statement and make it known.
Kartel’s team wants to let promoters and managers in dancehall reggae music know that Adidjahiem Records is still the official channel to book the Portmore Empire Artists.
